The Whisper of Silence is available digitally from March 27th. A truly beautiful film from Latin America which has stunning scenery, performances, and music. The story centres on a young lady who has the most amazing sense of smell and is used by the coffee makers to test the quality of their beans. However, she has suffered a trauma in her past and her brother is keen to avenge her. A startling film that will stay with you for a long time. I loved it.

My Sailor, My Love is a deeply touching, emotionally involving film that tugs at the heart strings. Set in Ireland, where two senior citizens fall in love, leaving the man’s daughter disgruntled. A delightful and heart warming film. In UK cinemas from March 10th.

Ambush is a Vietnam War story about a group of American GIs trapped in underground tunnels in the jungle. The tension builds nicely as we get to know the characters and begin to care about the peril they are in. Some great action that keeps the viewer hooked. Available on digital platforms and DVD from March 6th.

Charcoal is out in UK cinemas from March 10th and then it will be available on digital platforms from March 20th. I really enjoyed this tense tale of a family in Sau Palou, who take in a lodger only to find out that he’s a wanted gangster. Genuinely tense with a real sense of threat.

A Tigers Journey is a movie for all the family. A young boy rescues a tiger cub from poachers and takes the young animal to a safe place. It’s sweet, cute and yes cuddly. Available on digital platforms from March 13th.

Other Peoples Children is a fabulous film about a young lady who can’t have children of her own while struggling to become a step-mum to her boyfriend’s little girl. Eye opening which drama left me with a tear in my eye. Worth seeing. In cinemas and on digital platforms from March 17th.

The Thief Collector is a docu-drama. The true story of how a couple stole a famous painting from an American Art Gallery by simply cutting it out of its frame. Brilliantly constructed with talking heads and lots of recreations. Available on Prime Video from March 22nd.

The Subject is the last film from the late Lanie Zipoy. It has been garnering praise from critics. An exciting and taught thriller which keeps the viewer hooked right from the start. It also raises questions about what is and isn’t ethical in the world of documentary film making. The performances are convincing and the film isn’t afraid to pull any punches.
