The Miracle Club is a quintessentially British movie. By turns funny, moving and we do come to care for the characters. Some witty one-liners and some lovely shots of Lourdes itself make this worth seeing.
The story centres around a group of seniors from a village near Durham who head off for a coach trip to Lourdes, hoping for miracles. Among them are Kathy Bates, Maggie Smith, and Laura Linley. They are a diverse group. There is some bickering among them, but along the way to Lourdes, the real miracle is that they grow to know and care for each other.
A film for Granny, for the kids, and for everyone in fact. Enjoy!
